Historic Madison's Oral History Project
Past board members Ruth Doyle and Hallie Lou Blum led a series of summer workshops to instruct people in how to conduct oral histories. Those tapes languished for 20 years but are now transcribed.

Our current fact-checking project is to clarify words, spellings, addresses, and provide biographical information for places, people, and businesses mentioned in the interviews. A 90-minute training session shows you the basic resources at either the downtown public library or at the WI Historical Society library on campus.

List of Interviewers

• Hallie Lou Blum          • Ruth Doyle          • Lynn Hartridge          • Marie McCabe
