The 20th Biennial Convention and Sangerfest of the Norwegian Singers Association, June 2-4, 1932. This convention, which brought more than one thousand tourists to town, was hosted by Madison’s Grieg Chorus. As part of the proceedings the delegates visited the Ole Bull bedroom in the old Governor’s Mansion. SHSW (5)3942

Madison’s exceptional situation and well-known institutions attract numerous gatherings from far and near. . . .They inspect the University, take a moonlight sail on the lakes accompanied by a band; free auto rides are provided by the citizens of Madison; rooms for their sessions are provided gratis in the Capitol, where they are addressed by the Governor or President of the University, and there are grand entrance staircases and porticoes where members may assemble for the convention photograph.
